alpha gwapitas have come to town..
meet my new,
fresh and cool barkada!!! there are seven of us-- jammy, jackie, connie, christine, nina, vachael and yours truly. we really didn't expect that we'd became very close friends and find ourselves very open to each other already. i'll tell you the story on how we bumped into each other and how one night came to be very special for all of us... (it's kinda long....)
about OCTOBER OF 2004
vachael and some other girls (except me and christine) were planning to have "C"--caroling-- at our classmates' houses on December. they were planning on how they will present and what songs they are going to sing. they were also planning to rent a private jeepney or transpo.
about NOVEMBER OF 2004
xtine and i butt in (we never really intended to butt in, but we were just curious). they told us their plans for the "C" and someone suggested that we have an "O"--overnight party-- after the "C" where we could exchange gifts with each other. and then we started to pick our manitas.
first TWO WEEKS OF DECEMBER
i finally found a transpo, which was the subdivision shuttle. i asked how much it will cost us and he said 350. i was really excited!
all of us WERE excited!!! after all those months of planning and looking for transpo, we finally made it. we finished the plan. we planned to meet at right shop at 3:00 pm on December 20, friday so we could still practice.
DECEMBER 20, 2004
3:00 PM
i came from lauremar because the soccer team had a party--it was a blast! and then i went home after lunch, packed my things for the 'C" and "O" and went to right shop. when i got there, only xtine was there so we waited.
4:00 pm
three of the girls came--nina, connie and jackie. jackie brought her guitar becuase we were going to use it for the "C"<--annoying, huh?
4:45 pm
jammy came last because her mother won't allow her to go unless her mother brings jammy to right shop herself. minutes later, the shuttle came. it was time to have fun..
5:00 pm
we were complete but there was a bad news--jackie and nina couldn't come. so we decided to stop by their houses and ask their parents to let them come with us at jammy's grandparent's house or what they call "dome." our first stop was at camella homes. we sang at more than ten houses and we earned 150 pesos already and it wasn't 6:00 yet! it was amazing me recording them! but we also had our first embarrassing moment when we were in front of someone's house and somebody just shoutsed "wala'y tao!" who shouted then?!?
5:45
we went to jerik's house. he wasn't there because he was playing basketball with his friends. but we still sang and his mother gave us 50 bucks! haha! we stopped by at the basketball court to surprise jerik and he was!! his expression was like, he saw a ghost or something. they would never really expect their classmates to come because it was break anyway.
we went to dean's at philam village. he was also shocked! and he was embarrassed talaga!! hahaha! he had no idea about this. his parents were not around so we didn't get any money from him--but it's okay..
6:10
we went to carlo's house but nobody answered. it was really scary just standing there waiting for someone to come out especially when it's a really big house!! and it was already dark!! but because we didn't get any from the lastimosa family, we still sang at other houses in aluba. they're rich anyway!=)
we went directly to iya's house at mega homes near corpus christi. she was also shocked!! still, we didn't get any money but we appreciated her lolo's kindness to us to even bother.
then we went to jackie's house. we really asked for her mother's permission. we thought she wouldn't let jackie to come with us. but to our surprise--her dad allowed her to come and they gave us 500 after we sang for them. we really had convincing powers!! her parents couldn't disagree because we were already there--BEGGING!! hehe!
and nina...her mom allowed her to go, too!! yipee! we were complete!
i can't even describe the happiness i felt when nina was allowed by her beautiful mom to go with us! at last, our two-month-long preparation was worth it! us being complete??

we went to MCdo driveway and ordered for our dinner. we had our dinner at the shuttle obviously.=) it was really great talking with these guys. i'm really comfortable being with them!our next stop was at teresa's house at gusa. again, we surprised her and we also borrowed some dvds to watch. she wanted to come but we came with a good palusot even before we went to teresa because we know she would want to come with us!
8:30
we went to enna's house and we also surprised her. last stop, jammy's grandparents at lapasan. we sang because her lola asked us to. and then while we were singing, i could see a thousand bucks in her lola's hands. and i was like,
OMG!!! a thousand bucks!! they must be really rich! and thanks to jamm's lola, we were able to pay for the shuttle and have profit. 230 bucks each!
9:10
we went na to jamm's grandparents' house at macanhan in front of emily homes. it was really a night to remember. we exchange gifts and we got what we want (because actually, we had a meeting and told the group what we want so they will know what to buy for her manita). we also had a forum. all of us didn't expect that this night would be memorable for all of us and is the beginning of a new level of friendship, the born of the alpha gwapitas (we call ourselves alpha gwapitas before... not now because they might think it's a sorority or something)...char!

wasn't it nice?? it was only a night and it actually changed my life... with them, i'm comfortable, i can easily talk anything, i'm open to them and i can trust them. we have this chemistry that we don't have with our other friends. we have similarities which makes us more bonded and also differences which makes our group more interesting. we get to know about each other as days passed. well, like any other cliques, there's always contrabidas. for us, we call them sampalok and sili because we don't like them. they backbite them all the time. we do but then before we don't because we thought they were good na. but then they changed their attitude towards us. we don't blame them! they're just jealous because we're so close unlike them! it's like they're the only people in THEIR world!! BITCHES!!!
i'd better skip already because i think my brain's going to burst if i don't stop!!! TTFN!!
