election...
we had a different kind of election of officers today. it was not the same elections we had for the past two years; not the same, "we nominate blah, blah, blah" and then vote whoever they feel must be it, without never really knowing his/her weaknesses and strengths. the class, bonded and stable for the past years, have made the same mistakes over and over again. i hate regrets and i want them to hate that, too. so many officers are doing nothing but joke around, not being serious to their jobs. responsibility is a big thing and father chris was a genius. he further explained to us the difference between discernment and discretion. both are judgment but in a different way. discretion is an individual judgment in which we choose between good and evil. discernment, on the other hand, is a judgment where we choose between good and the greater good. and then he explained about the discernment council. father chris let the class chose 6 males and 6 females from the class to whom we can truly depend on. and the chosen 12 were the discernment council (i'm part of it). the class nominated some people for the positions given by father chris and i was sure some of my classmates were joking around nominating their barkadas for fun. and later in the afternoon, the council discerned and judged the nominees one by one, if he/she is capable for the positions or can he/she handle the responsibility. the 12 people in the council all gave their comments and voted to whoever they think must be "it"; the most eligible pignatellians to carry the titles. after two hours, we finally have our officers. it was fun sharing my experiences with this particular person and also to critique them. i now realize how important the council was. because if we had copied from the same election pattern, the chosen president might be a disaster.

mikki for winning the elections as 3-pignatelli's new president. i was sure he was gonna make it. hey, i voted for you, mouse! :b
and i also wanna congratulate huu (vp), xtine (sec) and connie (treasurer) for winning as well!
PS that's why 17 yrs old and below were not allowed to vote! because we still have immature minds and if richard gutierrez ran for the presidency, any teen would vote for him! see?
