shopping = stress-free day

very true! shopping has been locked in my heart. but i'm surely not who you think i am. i love to shop, but only on special occassions and i have limitations. i am materialistic but not in a bad way. being a shopper, for me, doesn't mean liking to waste money but giving yourself something deserving. like a new pair of jeans if you've been working day and night for your chemistry project. it's good to shop because it gives relief and a smile on your face. isn't it good to know that after hardships and so many sleepless nights with coffee by your side, there's something worth it in the end? but i never have too much in my closet. i give some of them when i have new ones, replacing my old shirts, having a whole new wardrobe. i only have a few, but pretty shirts in my closet. there's no need for me to have tons of clothes because i only wear them during the weekends. i'm still in high school and wearing a uniform is an advantage for me. but having tons of clothes can be useful in college. really.

manila, shall i say again, has (i think) the most number of beautiful, extravagant and wonderful malls in the country. you would never have to go far to shop. and since i went there last summer, i took the opportunity to shop at the best malls and shops i could find. summer only happens once a year (and summer sales, too!) so why not splurge? i only bought the basics, though, shirts and flip-flops. i have enough jeans in my closet. so i closed the deal with super-duper cute kamiseta and bayo pants. it broke my heart. but good thing my sister gave me some of her pants, but truly not bad. one of them is a pair of gap curduroy jeans which my mom bought for her in the states. i like it so much. it fits well on my thighs and my butt. ( i blog so LOUD noh? :b) it looks so good on me i even wore it when i went to glorietta with nina. :D

my summer shopping list and what i brought home from manila

1. a few shirts...since ate chee's moving, i can't borrow her shirts anymore! i have to buy for me! i bought two abercrombie shirts from greenhills (d best!), but definitely not fake, only factory defects. i also bought an orange shirt from seventeen, cinderella. lumalabas na naman 'tong pagka-adik ko sa kulay orange. i just love the color so much i even bought an orange bag (yesterday's post) and might even buy a pair of orange flipflops from human. i find it so attractive and bright. anyhoo, the shirt says "if the shoe fits, buy them!" but not always true for me. believe me or not, but i don't have sandals, only flips and rubber shoes and yeah, maryjanes for school. i told papa i had to buy a pair, pero yung di mahal...

one of my favorite shirts i bought was the one from penshoppe. it said, "CLASS PRESIDENT : do what i say!" nyahahah! forgive me my dear classmates for still thinking to be your president! it's only a shirt anyway. i wish i had bought it earlier. and i also wish that your next president will be willing to take the heavy responsibilities of an officer. i also do hope that he/she can help us win the sb and verse choir to retain our championship! God bless whoever you are!
and last but not the least, a vintage shirt from people are people. i love vintage shirts! too bad i only found out that they had those shirts when i ran out of money. so i only bought one. tsk, tsk. te kz also gave me her vintage racerback from guess. she bought it last christmas and i have wanted it even before she saw it in guess. racerbacks rock. maxx, ate cheen and ate kz wanted me to wear racerbacks in cdo, but i'm too shy to wear one. but i'll try.

2. havaianas. the best rubber slippers in the world. or so it says in the box. havaianas flipflops are in demand all over the country! chocolate remained to have no stock of havaianas because of the people rushing to buy those. we even went to rustan's glorietts just to find those flips! others may say havaianas are just flipflops. but those "just" flip-flops are super strong and made cute and attractive for teens, adults and even kids! a little expensive, but it's worth it. i'm gonna buy the next time i go there sa rustan's. even here in cdo, people order online just to grab a pair of havaianas. for kagay-anons, if you wanna buy havaianas flipflops, go to fotografia by trisha, in front of cepalco. she sells havaianas and happy feets, too. :D

3. seventeen days by three doors down. the super-cool poprock band has made another album called "seventeen days." including the hit single, let me go, for me, it is a feel-good cd! because i let out all the stress by listening to these hoobastank-kinda-music. when i listen to their cd, i don't thinkl of anything. i leave behind all my fears, my anger and pressure. parang i'm free. but maybe i really am. i just keep myself tighten too much with these works...

"you love me, but you don't know who i am;so let me go.." - let me go, 3 doors down

4. candy magazine. since all of my sisters are in college, they've upgraded their magazine collection to seventeen, the right magazine for them. and now i'm all alone collecting candy. huhuhu. but 85 pesos a month is not too bad. it's worth it anyway. i learn a lot from candy from fringes to handling the guys to simple plan. they have everything a teen could ask for. may it be a friend feud or your never-ending pms, you name it, they have it! but the best part of this mag is learning a lot from boys. how they really think and what they think about you. boys are mysterious. they just are. i, myself have tons of questions for them like what is the BIG deal with being mushy? it doesn't always mean you're gay, right? and why are you so addicted to computer games? it's not like it's given you life. it's okay to play but not too much. you're loving it TOO much. no offense but girls do ask much about how you act. i know you also think the same, why we go to the rest room in herds and why we love to gossip. it's okay. boys and girls have a lot to ask about each other. we will never know when the time comes when boys and girls are finally treated equal and hopefully understand each other. fully.

dancing in my nuddy pants. the fourth sequel of the confessions of georgia nicolson books (there are 6). i bought it for a hundred bucks (hardbound!) at fully booked last week. it was fun reading it. reading georgia's diary and raves about robbie the SG would totally make you laugh! she's not like us filipinas, they're different there. once you went out with this guy and kissed him, he's officially your boyfriend. no proposals, no flowers, no mushy things like what we have here. it's weird reading it because things go different there but it really is hilarious!

5. full house cds. korean flicks would never be lost in manila. my sister has all the episodes of full house and we even watch it til dawn! that's how much we really want to watch it. i never watched the full house version of gma but i'm sure the original full house cds (no dubbing) are a lot better! :D

6. unforgettable experiences. singing in the arcade til midnight, shopping, watching movies, eating at an italian restaurant, yellow cab, late mornings, bloopers. everything i have done in manila from eating my first meal there ate wendy's to taking my last bite of manila days at eastwood has been great. i could never ask for more. the power of three has reunited, finally buying what i want, going to malls without nothing, NOTHING to worry about and having a great time. manila is fab, fab, fab! i can't wait for college!
