summer is...
...the smell of fresh flowers, the sound of humming birds and the waves of the sea and the taste of grilled hamburgers. too bad it's over. the heavy rain has once again blotted out the essence of hot summer days. and once again, people are easily catching colds. like me.

our class recollection at betania retreat house, malasag was fun. i was moved by what father cris has told us the whole night. there are some events in life that are happy and some are sad. and in all those events, God has been with us all along. because He loves us, he would let us choose and decide for ourselves. we may choose the wrong path, God will never argue; but if ever we fail, God will still be with us and continue to love us. everytime we miss the mark, we continue to hurt ourselves. and everytime we're hurt, He is in pain, too.
He is only asking us to reflect on ourselves and realize the better good. and even though we commit the same mistake over and over again, God will never leave our side.
as we were in complete solemnity, i looked at some of my guy friends and to my shock, some of them cried. not in an overreacting way, but in a sincere way, which means they, too, are moved and also reflected from the bottom of their hearts. it made me respect them even more. they did not just laugh about it like what i thought but instead, took it seriously.
the recollection did not only moved us but also gathered us, the class, and made us whole. hindi na kami "ricci+faber+claver" but
3-joseph pignatelli. we're one. finally.
