sosyal. together with our sports director, sir ferenal, the ateneo blue eagles presented the awards during the closing program of the xuhs intramurals 2005-2006. tenorio, reyes, intal and the other players of teams a and b of admu have arrived in the city of golden friendship. ironically, xuhs greeted the team and coach norman black with screams and flickers from their cameras. i coudn't believe how tall they were. coach norman black was almost twice as tall as me. and so are the other players. i'm not a big fan of uaap (but i do watch basketball) - i just can't miss this thing! i have my camera anyway! everyone else in the campus will go mad at these pictures!
they practiced at our very own gym, which was quite embarrassing because it wasn't cleaned well. the students, however, came to watch the practice. and the ateneo blue eagles left them in awe with their consecutive three-point shots, different shooting styles and great defenses. they are on the spotlight. every single move they made amazed the students AND the teachers as well.
i heard that some students waited for the practice to end and grabbed - as in without permission - some of the players' jerseys. and some ASKED for their jerseys. and the girls, well... they went ballistic and kissed the eagles. on the cheek. how cheap. and that jai reyes went running outside the gym half-naked because girls were already surrounding him and kissing him. now isn't that friendly?
they'll be having a game tomorrow. against ateneo de davao. ateneo de cagayan and sacred heart of Jesus cebu will also have a game on the next three days. let's just wait and see what happens when four ateneo-jesuit, competitive schools compete against each other....
