esplanade

gown designs, date, stilletos, jewelries, hair styles, six months preparation, tiara---- they all lead to one thing.

im a junior. which means, like everyone else, im also excited about the promenade. the feeling of having to choose the perfect date and the perfect gown makes me jittery but it does sound fun. just hearing the word "date" makes me worried about the event. it's like a mystery. you never know who your date will be (except when you're taken). you might end up going to the prom with your long-time crush, your best friend or just an acquaintance whom you met minutes before the ball began just to get inside the resto. i DO NOT wanna end up that way. the prom night, or the self-styled "juniors' night" shall be a night to remember; a night i will treasure forever.

sure, prom might be the creation of the next generation (you know what i mean) or the valediction of the junior virgins. when either of these happens, it will certainly be a night to remember.

but these aren't the things we're expecting, right? i am more eager about the gowns or the dresses the ladies will be wearing and their dates. and like i usually do, im frenzied to take pictures of the elegant dresses (which most of the time costs more than a thousand bucks) and take pictures of my batchmates' kilig moments. i could just imagine me and my classmates dancing with our partners, swaying to the melody of the music, tantalized by the beauty of the person we're holding and in bliss, thinking that mellow songs never sounded beautiful like before. and i could just imagine the transformations guys will be undergoing before and after the prom.

during this special, one-in-a-million moment, i wish that everyone will enjoy it and leave home their problems. because prom is all about you.
