was there ever a time when our class never crammed for any contest? quiz? plays? NO. we cram. we always do. and as far as i can remember, it always works. we always win.

it's just then that we finally came to learn our lesson. cramming doesn't always work.

almost a month ago, our math teacher have told us about the math jingle-slash-contest that we were suppose to present. but we concentrated much on our morning assembly presentation rather than this - a 4th quarter major project.

a week before the math jingle, we tried our best to glue all the ideas we had for the best concept. it didnt work. there was still a problem.

5 days before the math jingle, we started creating lousy concepts just to fill it in. 4 days to go and we just started making steps. 3 days to go and still it wasnt perfect. 2 days to go and we just started practicing with the band. a day before the presentation, that was the only time my classmates cooperated. we polished the steps, the formations and everything there was to polish.

but still we messed up. i can see my classmates having fun, dancing all their hearts out, trying not to cry... and i did not support them. i was too scared to stand up for them. my legs were shaking and i couldnt stand stand anymore. i was suppose to lead them but i did not. i was a coward.

we had the chance to grab the first place. well, we got second place anyway. but honestly, if our presentation was without flaws, we couldve won the first place. we screwed up BIG TIME and still we got second place! then we did have a chance!

but i also think it was bias because there were other sections who presented their math jingles better than we did who, unfortunately, didnt grab a spot in the top 3.

kaya nga they all hate us kasi bias daw kami. nananalo palagi kahit pangit naman talaga. they should ask the judges. =p
